Guided by a belief in establishing a harmonious relationship with technology, KARMA’s programs aim to reclaim the innovative image of Native communities and inspire the next generation of leaders. We acknowledge the limited capacity-building initiatives within the Navajo Nation, particularly in terms of technological skills that are essential for thriving in the 21st-century workforce. Through our dynamic programs centered on visual and hands-on learning environments that are continuously refined and adapted to suit the unique settings in which they are implemented, whether it be a community center, a classroom, or a university environment. Our work follows the framework in three iterative processes: ideation, creation, and adaptability.

We equip young Native individuals and communities with hands-on and visuals skill building workshops that result in creating. By building skills in the creation process it generates the capacity and skill building needed to protect our Native communities.
We harmonize the delicate balance between technology and cultural identity to create access to pathways toward a future where technology and tradition could coexist, leading to a resilient, and self-determined community.
Our Programs
Native T.E.A. (Technology Engineering Arts)
KARMA focuses on engaging Native youth and adults in Navajo community STEM fields through hands-on workshops that introduce advanced technologies like 3D printing, LEGO robotics design/coding, and align these skills with traditional knowledge and cultural understandings.
KARMA Media Lab
Creating an engaged workforce through reclamation of cultural language and identity via creative media development and entrepreneurship.
Ke’yah Iiná Labs
KARMA collaborates with community leaders, educators, and organizations to create a supportive environment for technological innovation and economic development. This includes hosting workshops, seminars, and community events.
